In the perl2dvd.advanced.properties, you can change the priority to low, which should translate to idle.

Code:
General: Transcoding priority(low | normal | high | realtime | abovenormal | belownormal)=low

Any ideas what to do?
I haven't tested out the STVi with the final version of SageTV v6, i'll do that tommorow.

If there are corresponding .jpgs with the .bat and shortcut files then that's a mystery. I keep hearing about people having problems with the OtherPrograms import, but I've never been able to reproduce them.

If you open up your perl2dvd.advanced properties, you should see a line...
Code:
General: Optional other programs special extension (_m for minimize to taskbar, _x for exit, blank for sage screen saver) =
Make sure that is blank. Also make sure SageTV is set to go to screen saver on sleep.

Flachbar is right about the other stuff.

Yeah, the status icons are a bit confusion, but better than nothing

It sounds like everything is setup properly, so that's good, but the no audio is bad. Have you tried playing the DVD in a standalone DVD player, also what type of show were you burning to DVD, HD or SD?

1. After all files are processed and I go to other programs in Sage and select the DVD I created, it opens the sageothers folder and puts Sage to sleep mode. It there a way to make it automatically burn the DVD when the files are ready?

2. If I manually run the .bat file to burn the DVD, it writes the leadin then crashes writing the image. OK, nevermind that, it just worked with AnyDVD disabled, so if you have AnyDVD, disable it!

Also, my image is slightly too large for the DVD. I read earlier in this post that it would reduce the image size before burning, but something isn't set up right for that to happen on my end. Sorry for the double post on this issue, but what do I need to get this to work as well?

My workstation is set to all three mode for DVD creation.

Thanks!
If the image is too large, than that means my bitrate equations messed up. A quick fix would be to open perl2dvd.advanced.pref and change

Code:
DVD: Target DVD Size in billion bytes =4.65
But to really help me out you could set
Code:
General: Save work folder log files to zip (0 means false, 1 means true) =1
recreate the dvd that was too big, and email me the zip file that gets created

I had the same issue with as you. I exited Sage and checked the Sage.properties file. The evilpenguin/dvd/enabled setting in Sage.properties was set to "false". I change the value to "true" and when I reopened Sage, the "burn to DVD" option was there.

After that, the utility worked flawlessly.

Good Luck,
Mattybonez

I'm having the same issue, but I don't have an evilpenguin setting in my sage.properties file. Sage never seems to get the DVD options after running the STVi.

Here's one, I have two more if you need them.

EDIT: It was too big so I removed the CleanNCut batch log (11Mb) let me know if you need that one, but I did not see any errors in it.
Attached Files
File Type: zip TomorrowNeverDies.zip (49.1 KB, 150 views)

Ok, got the log file, now I just need to know what I'm looking for

edit: Ok judging from the size of the CleanNCut batch file and the fact that it took 8 hours to complete I'm guessing the problem is with your version of mencoder.

Try downloading this version of mplayer, and replace my mencoder with this new one.

New Install, Help please

Hi, Just installed sagetv 6.19. Tried to install the DVD Burn as instructed but doesnt seem to work.

What I have and what I did...

Sage Server Did not install any dvd burn stuff.
Sage client..

installed dirmon2 on client, didnt even open after install
installed imgburn on client, didnt even open after install

Ran perl 2dvd... on config, selected 1,2,3 ( all on this machine) Keep in mind the files to be burned are on the server.
Said edit out commercials... but no showanalyzer is installed yet..

For work folder, I selected to keep on client, C:sageothers/work

imported both stvi's
added other programs screen.

restarted...

First tried burn to video dvd on an imported divx... didnt do anything.

Then tried burn to dvd on 3 imported mpeg2 files.
Files show up in other programs, but nothing else...

put in blank DVD...

Looked in sage others:

have three short cuts and three jpegs for the three shows I tried to burn... but doesnt seem to be burning.
No logs in work folder...

Questions...

can I do all three parts on one client, and nothing on server?

Can work folder be on client in sageothers folder?

Will it prompt for a blank DVD is none in dvd player?

Do I need to somehow config dirmon to auto start? or was that done in the per2dvd script?

What am I missing LOL ?

Ok, first thing to check is if there are any qdvd files in your qdvdfolder. If there are, then make sure that dirmon is running and is monitoring that directory.

Let me know if those things are working.

Found the qdvd folder, has files in it...

Wasnt dirmon supposed to be set up automatically?

Opening up task manager, I do not see what could be dirmon.

When I open the dirmon GUI, I see an entry under job management for perl2dvd.

Under global settings, have a place to check to start automatically as service... its not checked. Next to that check box it says current status not installed ( that mean service isnt installed? Dirmon has to be installed since I am looking at it.. )

So.. do I just check that box? or? how should I set up dirmon to work with dvdburn?

Thanks,
Neal

You shouldn't need those extra '=', just the first one.
