Go to the java website, download area, then click Other Versions. 1.6 is released but not distributed by default for some reason (last time I was there anyway).

Not sure what this means, but if you watch TV on your server too there is no difference really, the UI is designed to serve TV and extenders at the same time (although my Server is headless). See how it goes...

Well I just got used to using the MVP connected to my TV instead of the server with its TVout. MVP has MUCH better image quality.

I used to have all these little bits and pieces running on the server to restart Sage when booting up from hibernation, etc.
Now I can connect to the server and work on files, compress stuff etc without having to shutdown the client.
It felt like a relief to to have to do that anymore

But I guess I can start it minimized or something.

Thanks for all the advise anyway.

funny how hauppauge say one thing and a supplier say another!
When products do go end-of-life manufacturers are often loathe to say so as they get stuck with stock. I wonder if there is a HD EXtender on the way? With the DSM-510 out there is an HD extender with HDMI available, Hauppauge surely can't be far behind?

I managed to order 2 from amazon.co.uk, the last 2 in stock, and they were more expensive than I'd hoped to pay, but what can I do.

They're being delivered tomorrow

I'm not bothered with HD extenders yet, I won't be thinking of getting an HD TV for another year or so at least, and Sky have to scrap the extra £10 they charge for HD, they get £47 a month off me already!

Well they arrived today, nice and shiny, with SPDIF connections and version 2.something firmware, a lot newer than the one I bought last month from scan.

All 3 workl work so I'm happy now

When I ordered them it said they were the last 2 in stock, now it says shipping in 1 to 2 weeks, so they may have some, its hard to tell.

They're £60 though the one i got from scan was £40.

Aha, does this mean one can get today a wireless one with scart? Would be interested to know ...

Well, one SHOULD be but they are no where to be found.

Plenty of wireless though and you can use them wired too.

Be careful also to have a newer one. The newer ones have a much nicer remote!

Just to be 100% sure, we are talking here about a wireless MVP with a SCART connection to the TV set (not the 2-cable stuff)?

I just checked again on hauppauge sites but just can't find it. The BENELUX site only mentions the wired one. It's for this reason I always believed that the SCART connected wireless was not yet available.

If it is , going hunting (but seems I would have to practise patience).

Yep.

Wireless, with a SCART and 2 extra audio out contra-tulips, and an SPDIF connector.
