No error messages, but the remote still will not start SageTV with the green button (or bring it back from a "minimized to system tray" state).

Can you confirm
Quote:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SageTray]
"exe"="sagetvclient.exe"
Other than this, I am afraid I don't get why it is not working. Could you post your bat file contents and regkey info?

B

TSES-IR01 is the only thing listed on the reciever

RC6 is listed on the back of the MCE remote.

Is this the Microsoft version or is it an OEM you received in a kit?

Hmm, well actually it did come as a bundle with a Hauppauge PVR-500 video card. Could that be the issue? I figured that the hardware would be the same.

Did you install any drivers from hauppauge to get it to work?

Nope. Just the Microsoft XP rollup that is used for the Microsoft MCE remotes.

Any other options to get the MCE remote to open SageTV with the "green button" (or any other button for that matter), from the Windows Desktop? I've looked at HIP, but I just can't seem to figure out how to tell it to see the command and execute SageTVClient.exe.

Unhappy Blaster.exe not working

Hi all!

I wanted to post that I was able to install and test Sagetray, and the Greenbutton is correctly launching SageTV now without any issue.

However, I'm having a problem with Blaster.exe. Blaster is locking up when I run it:

1. I run D:\Downloads\Blaster\Blaster.exe
2. Select the 0 key with the mouse. This is an IR Keyboard/Mouse -- I hope that's not causing any issue.
3. Click the Learn button. (It changes the text to "10 seconds remaining...")
4. The program locks up. The text never counts down. It's not learning my remote commands.

Any ideas? I'd really like to get my SageTV working, after a week of it being down.

Thanks,
Joe

Blaster.exe still not working

bump...

No response on this issue? I've tried to just start Blaster.exe using a non-IR keyboard and mouse, and it locks the same way right when I start it. It never counts down from 10.

Earlier in this thread it was stated that the files sagetray.zip and blaster.zip were up again. I don't see them anywhere. Could someone please enlighten me?

Thanks,

Crap

Anyone get this working in Vista? I can seem to get SageMC to recognise the EXETunerPlugin. As was pointed out in another post, there is no true instructions on how to do these things. Blaster.zip was a pain to find and there is no batch file to use to configure EXETuner. This post http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...0&postcount=10 was absolutely useless to me except for the download of EXETuner and so far thats not doing much good. The directories in the so-called "directions" are different than mine and the registry entries are different. This is quite frustrating and extremely confusing. There is a section in the down loads for guides and tutorials but nobody is using them. If anyone out there can please help or post complete instructions that would be great.

blaster.exe has stopped working for me as well. no idea why (i'm still using XP). and it can corrupt the myblaster.dat file. glad I saved a copy!

I need to add the "-" IR code so I can tune an HD subchannel on my H20 (FoodTV on DirecTV). If this app is dead I guess I'll have to install and config HIP. and that's fun.
