I think what gplasky and GKusnick are saying is that the sage developers may see these posts in the forum, but they also may not. The only guaranteed way to make sure they know about your problem and that it gets added to their logs is to send them a support request directly. I have done this in the past and they are very responsive. I worked with them trying out some things to diagnose a display issue so that they could fix it a few months ago. Your best bet for getting things fixed is to be part of the solution.

Aloha,
Mike

For whatever reason (I think CES played a big part), mine and other reports of rendering hiccups were seemingly shrugged off prior to the release of v6.

Since then, I believe they have worked on the problem. I know that the problems we had in our home are mostly gone due to the registry fix Jeff posted in another thread.
That's how I feel, and I know of others feeling the same way. I too have nearly identical experiences and to be honest I'm still upset but not as much as I was when it happened.

It's one thing when you're testing a beta and find bugs and report them. That's what beta testers do. I don't expect a perfect release and so I don't get upset when I hit a bug. It would be silly to be upset during a beta.

Now when they released it I eagerly downloaded and installed it expecting it to work since I reported the bug, others had as well and because it seemed to be a fairly common bug I assumed it was fixed. To my surprise and dismay it wasn't even addressed, they released this thing with the IMO MAJOR show stopper bug for HD playback.

As your post indicates I believe they were under pressure to release and had hoped the bug reported was only going to hit a small number of us, it seems it is not such a small number now.

To be honest, I have expected for quite some time to log-in and find a new version posted that fixes this issue, and I'm still waiting.

One thing about a version upgrade, you expect the previous features to work as they did in the past and when it doesn't I believe we have a right to complain. You don't break old stable features to add some new ones in.

Still I'm sure we don't number as many users who have no problems, but we are growing in number. I'd bet if more users had HD gear there would be more reports. My SD playback is fine, looks great and I'm happy with it. HD now is much better, yet not as good as it was in V5.
