Rebuilt server, seeing odd problem

I just rebuilt my server from scratch with 2003 server. This is what I was running before. I reloaded sage 6.2.10 and configured everything. I did not reload my client running 6.2.10.

When I look at Schedule Recording then view recording schedule, it only shows me the next 10 shows that will be recorded. It used show me the all the shows for the next 2 weeks.

When I look at the Guide. Everything is there correctly. the 10 shows show that they are set to record. But any other show after that, that is set to record, doesn't show it set to record in the guide.

I can tell it to manually record something and it does show int he recording schedule. Just none of the faveroties are showing after this monday at like 9:00pm.

Just so you know, I did copy by wiz.bin file back over when I rebuilt the server.

By default, SageTV schedules things 3 days in advance. It sounds like you had customized the scheduling lookahead in your old properties file. If you still have the old proeprties file, look for the scheduling_lookahead property. This used to be in the FAQs, but it was removed because setting the lookahead to be too many days can cause performance issues, so if you run into problems with it, support will tell you to set it back to 3 days.

What kind of performance problems would I see by increasing it. Would a fast cpu and memory help?

I'm not exactly sure... I only increased my lookahead by a couple days & don't have any issues right now. There used to be a problem where the schedule update process simply never ended, so nothing new got scheduled, but that isn't an issue for me any more. I don't know what else might happen, so it is more along the lines of "watch for unexpected behavior" & then reduce the lookahead if anything bad happens.
