I had the same problem. Thought it was just me, but you have to copy the skins folder (think its call schemes) into the DigiGudie folder. Its not explained well in the instructions or just I did not read it right.

Dean.

Edit not sure how my post is before yours.

Well, I've sort of got this working. I have a quick question though. After grabbing the data from digiguide and creating the xml file, I then started to setup the xmltv importer from Stephane. I then noticed I'd forgotten to add Discovery turbo on digiguide, so added it, and re-ran the grabber, then went through the importing tool wizard again. But it still wasn't in the xmltv importer channel lineup. Have I missed a step somewhere?

Other than this it's been really straightforward. An excellent tool

EDIT: Found the reason. I had been using the wrong .exe file to manually grab the info. The importer was using the correct one, but this only showed up after a scheduled grab & import

I'd just like to say thanks for taking the time to post your work here, I have been waiting for about two years for someone to come up with a viable alternative to radio times that will allow a good spread of channels like this.

I have also set this up with the xmltv importer from Stephane and have found the combination excellent. I have subscribed to digiguide as a result and will become a donating user of Stephane's work, particularly since it was thanks to her posts that I manged to get prologic 2 working on TV viewing too!

These tools together have actually prompted me to set up my sage network in my new house after 18 months without it and to upgrade to the latest version too. The advances since my original setup have made it easier to get a reliable and ultimately user friendly setup running.

Using with Stephane's XMLTV Importer?

Hi,

Is there any way to get a films rating to appear?

TIA,

Nick.

Ratings info doesn't appear to be in the dgxmltv file. I guess this is related to the fact that MadAxeMan is still in the process of developing the grabber and it probably hasn't had anything written to grab it as yet.

OK, I've rewritten most of this today. I now have the ability to map all the DigiGide data to whatever Stephane's processor needs. I'm waiting for him to get back to me with names of the xml nodes.

Once he does I will upload the exe with all the DG fields mapped.

Regards,

Nick.

Will I be able to mark programmes that are HD? Digiguide does include HD in it's programme info.

Thanks for the great work

Hi,

I've now finished all the parsing of the DigiGuide data. I have the following fields:

Credits (director, actor, guest, writer, producer)
Length of program (length of program, plus start and stop times, plus offset to local time)
Age rating
Aspect ratio
Star rating (out of 5)
Definition (HD)
Following program (useless, but it was there so why not)
Sound format
Episode number
Episode name
Series number
Subtitles
Audio described
Repeat
Year

That's all the data there is, so you can't have anything else

I'm just waiting for the XML node names from Stephane, and then I'll upload the exe.

Regards,

Nick.

Nice one Nick, I've just finished work but I will try it out later today when I've had some sleep. I hope installing the .net doesn't send it all haywire!

Maybe try it without .net first, see if it throws any errors. It was just when building it said you needed that, but I'm not sure.

Regards,

Nick.

HeHe, I suppose this is a night workers version of a late night. I have this running Nick but it's not quite right, did you post the wrong strings.dat file in there because it's exactly the same as the old one and I'm guessing thats why it's not giving me any more data?

No, it's the right one. You have to exit and restart DigiGuide when you replace the strings.dat file; did you do that?

Regards,

Nick.

This is working great for me and the Digiguide programme desriptions are better then the RT data, I found the RT descriptions to be too long especially for movies.

I have written a program which starts Stephanes importer when the Digiguide data is updated, however its not very useful as Digiguide seems to update every 24 hours. I was hoping it might be able to handle schedule changes but I dont know how often Diguide updates this data.
