BBC HD and Luxe HD have HD flags in my guide but where do you get your guide for ITV HD using didguide? Are you just using a regional variation? Or is their a specific channel for ITV HD within digiguide as I dont see one.

Cheers

Check Monday 8th September 21:00 "The Children" on ITV1 maked as "High Definition on Freesat"

For guide data for ITV HD as a seperate channel there is a user channel that can be added to digiguide

I can't alter the data for ITV1, because that's not an HD channel. If I did it would show as HD for ITV1, which it isn't.

Is it marked properly on the user channel ITV HD?

Nick.

Sorry, back with another query! The new version of the importer is much improved on the "repeats within a month" issue, I'm seeing results much more like I expect there. Thanks Stephane. But the importer now seems to be ignoring previously-shown tags in some instances, e.g.:
Code:
  <programme start="20080915210000 +0100" stop="20080915220000 +0100" channel="101">
    <title>New Tricks</title>
    <sub-title>Old Dogs</sub-title>
    <desc>Drama series featuring ... of attacks?</desc>
    <credits>
      <director>Juliet May</director>
    </credits>
    <category>Drama</category>
    <episode-num system="xmltv_ns">2.2.</episode-num>
    <previously-shown/>
  </programme>
This is appearing in Sage as first-run despite having the previously-shown tag. Is this intentional? Is it because it's not in the history?

Thanks for the help!

The user channel only shows HD programmes but are tagged the same as ITV1 "High definition on Freesat"

Can't change that either then, as if I did it would mark the standard ITV1 progs as HD. Sorry.

Something weird is going on with my DG2XML grabs now. I've just grabbed a new XML file. The entry for the 9pm Massive on BBC3 looks like this:
Code:
  <programme
    channel = "106"
    channel2 = "6"
    start = "20080921210000 +0000"
    stop = "20080921213000 +0000">
    <title>Massive</title>
    <desc>Sitcom about two friends who pack in their dreary jobs and set up their own record label in Manchester after inheriting 10,000 pounds. Danny and Shay can't believe their luck when the HearKittyKitty single is played on Radio 1. Determined to keep them on their toes, the girls demand a music video. But while the lads argue about a concept, A&amp;R scout Ricky Lisberg starts sniffing round Superb'uns bakery. He fills the girls' heads with ideas of stardom and points out Shady Music's shortcomings.</desc>
    <category>Sitcom</category>
    <length units = "minutes">30</length>
    <episode-num system = "xmltv_ns">0.0.</episode-num>
    <sub-title>The Music Video</sub-title>
    <audio>
      <stereo>Stereo</stereo>
    </audio>
    <video>
      <aspect>16:9</aspect>
    </video>
    <subtitles type = "teletext"/>
    <subtitles type = "onscreen"/>
    <credits>
      <actor>Ralf Little</actor>
      <actor>Carl Rice</actor>
      <actor>Johnny Vegas</actor>
      <actor>Joel Fry</actor>
      <actor>Steve Furst</actor>
      <actor>Christine Bottomley</actor>
    </credits>
  </programme>
You'll see this gives 0.0 as episode, i.e. S1 Ep1 in human terms.

But if I look at it in DigiGuide:
Code:
SITCOM: Massive
On: BBC 3 (106)
Date: Sunday 21st September 2008 (Already shown)
Time: 21:00 to 21:30 (30 minutes long)

The Music Video. Series 1, episode 3.
Sitcom about two friends who pack in their dreary jobs and set up their own record label in Manchester after inheriting 10,000 pounds. Danny and Shay can't believe their luck when the HearKittyKitty single is played on Radio 1. Determined to keep them on their toes, the girls demand a music video. But while the lads argue about a concept, A&R scout Ricky Lisberg starts sniffing round Superb'uns bakery. He fills the girls' heads with ideas of stardom and points out Shady Music's shortcomings.
(Stereo, Widescreen, Subtitles, Audio Described)

Starring: Ralf Little, Carl Rice, Johnny Vegas, Joel Fry, Steve Furst, Christine Bottomley
S1 Ep3. What's going on between Digi and the grabber? Am I missing something?

Hmmm, showing the same data on mine, last grab done early hrs of sunday morning. If the data viewed in digiguide is correct then it's either changed since last grab or the grabber isn't picking it up correctly I guess. I'm sure it will all become clear soon.

I've not had chance to check the actual Xhtml file being produced but i had a similar problem with the same program. It was the 2nd episode of massive last night 9pm on BBC3, i expected sage to record it. It didnt because the epg data said season 1 episode 1, it should have said episode 2.

As i said ive not had chance to investigate yet so dont know if it was a digiguide error or not.

No, as I showed last night, I looked at it on digiguide, copied the digi details, then grabbed the xml. Digiguide all along showed S1 Ep3, XML showed S1 Ep1. No idea how this happens, but Digi seemed to be showing it correctly before and after I grabbed the XML...

It has happened before, e.g. Who Do You Think You Are last week showed the previous week's ep number, but I didn't look into it at the time.

I'm tidying up my setup to resolve a few glitches and I've come up against a problem in the latest version of the XMLTV importer - v3.5.

I get an exception while trying to create a lineup from the .frq files using the "Add Channels...From SageTV" option, then the app closes.

The error said:"An exception occurred during the operation making the result invalid. Check InnerException for exception details.".

I had completely uninstalled the previous version 3.3 which I had on there, then reinstalled. I'm probably doing something stupid, but can't think what.

Any ideas?

This is a bug in the 3.5 version for XP system. You can download version 3.6 now that fixed it.

Stéphane.

I noticed the importer got Heroes episodes mixed up for BBC-HD last night, it marked series 3 episode 2 as series 3 episode 1. The data was displayed correctly in DigiGuide but was written to the XML file incorrectly as 2.0 instead of 2.1.

The BBC2 guide data for series 3 episode 1 was correct in DigiGuide and also in the XML file, but incorrect in the Sage guide as it ended up with the same show ID as episode 2 showing on BBC-HD.

The BBC3 data looks correct in DigiGuide, the XML file and Sage.

Looks like the importer has got a little confused on Silent Witness this week:

Wednesday:
Code:
  <programme

    channel2 = "1"

However, both come into the guide with the same Ep Id and the subtitle of Thursday's programme. Any ideas why the importer would assume them to be the same ep? I assume it's because of same title and description, but surely subtitle and ep number should differentiate them?

Title, ep.title and ep.number are used.

So I guess that something has messed up the lookup table regarding the ep.title and ep.number link (for instance in my case I grab tv programs from two sources each of them having ep.title and ep.numbers, if one of the source is giving the wrong ep.number to a show this cannot be corrected by the other source: the first pair of ep.title + ep.numbers wins).

Anyway for troubleshooting I need your xmltv file and lookup.xml file.

Regards,
Stéphane.
