Is the video quality any different than the standard silverlight netflix movie player?

I'm curious on this question as well. Aren't they using the same video feed you would get in a browser? Or are they forcing a lower bandwidth quality?

It is probably the same but there are a lot of people on TGB complaining about the quality and it apparently is nowhere near as good as the Roku device (even on non-HD material).

Sounds like its just like it is in ZINC as well -- once the silverlight netflix player opens, you're stuck with using a mouse.

I'm not running Vista but the Silverlight interface controls are different from the player and they are controled by the MCE remote. I posted a quote from Microsoft support regarding the Netflix for Media Center in another thread here this morning.

Here they referenced using the Media Cnter Remote on your TV interface.

Whether your Windows Media Center is sitting on your lap or hooked directly up to your TV, the UI works equally well. It even works with any Windows Media Center-compatible remote control.

I may have to get vista media center up and running along with wireshark to see what url/xap file its pulling from Netflix... I'm short on free time, so if anyone else is willing to do this, it would be helpful.

All the other netflix remote control options for GBVR, Media Portal, etc., appear to be derivatives of my control script that work the same or worse, so they're no real help in cleaning things up.
