For those of you that donated, how long did it take before you received an access code?

Same question for registering for the forum.

I got mine within a few hours... but it might take a day or so at the most I would think...

Thanks!

This is working great!

Now I just need to get it all tweaked. For the most part it is pretty accurate out of the box.

Hey all-

It looks like Comskip is working well for h.264 files recorded from the HD-PVR and I'm ready to jump off the cliff. I've never used comskip before, and the info at comskip.org seems to be geared towards GB-PVR.

I don't mind making a donation to get the new Comskip, but I'm at a loss as to how to install it and I really don't want to foul up something else in my setup, which can be a bit finicky at times. Can someone point me to a post or thread somewhere that has instructions on how to install Comskip for HD-PVR users with Sage for complete idiots?

I'm using Sage V6.5.8.184, SageMC 6.3.8a, recording on Best quality MPEG-2.TS files (5.9 gb/hour) using the equipment in my signature. My system runs on Windows XP Pro x64, SP2

Thanks!

Jason

Donator build 0.80.009 solves most known bugs

Changes in 0.80.009
- Bug solved: Sometime the audio decoding stops
- Added the output format for iPod chapter skipping, enable by setting output_ipodchap=1 this will generate a .chap file with a chapter marker before and after each commercial.
- Removed the very small commercial found at the end of many recordings.
- Bug solved: Sometimes Comskip crashes when output_smi or output_srt where enabled
- Bug solved: Comskip crashes on a h.264 recording that changes resolution

This application has failed to start because MSVCRTD.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Same problem. Also noticed differences from 008.

No avutil-49.dll with 009. (It is in 008)
In 008 it was ff_libfaad2.dll. In 009 it is now libfaad2.dll.

And if that's what it is suppose to be that is fine. Just thought I would point out the differences.

I am using again different builds of the codecs and try to avoid using VC 9.0
The new h.264 is 10% faster then the build 008, but you have to wait one more day

That's fine. You're doing a great job on this and it just keeps getting better.

Just started working with this last night so may be missing something obvious. Using version 007 on VIP211 R5000 recording no commercials are found. Attached is the log file. Any ideas? PAFF H.264 not in their yet?

Thanks, Chad

h.264 only in early access donators area.
The audio problems solved and the iPod chapter output is in the public area

sorry Erik. Maybe I'm not understanding what your asking. I know Dish Vip211 with a R5000 outputs PAFF H.264. This has played havoc with codecs and other software until they were able to handle the streams. My comment was around if your H.264 parsing supports PAFF H.264 streams. If so I'm probably doing something wrong. When I run against any of my H.264 files only a .log file and an empty .txt file is created. My SD content runs through and creates edl files just fine. I'm new to the whole Comskip world so I figure I'm missing some configuration or something somewhere.

Thanks, Chad

Chad, I've got comskip running fine with my 211 and R5000 on H.264 content...

Thanks Slipshod. Looks like I have some more tweaking to do (and reading). I must have something obvious going on. - Chad

edit: Just tried 009 and it looks like it's going to work... although it highlights I need a faster server. Great job Erik!
