Linux Placeshifter - Audio but no Video! help!

I've run through what I believe are the installations of the correct packages and dependencies, and I think I have the latest version of Java, but for some reason, Placeshifter is only playing the sound on my TV/movies, but no video. I've tested *.m4v, HDTV (*.mpg), and *.avi, all with the same results.

Can someone please advise how I might resolve this? Thanks in advance!

Try opening the movies using the default installed movie player. My quess would be that you are missing some required codecs.

Could possibly be your display drivers. what flavor of *nix are you running?? I've never had any problems with the placeshifter itself on linux... i had operator error on the server side.. but not the placeshifter client.
