Two Version C2 HDPVRS
2. How many HD-PVRs are you using? (1, 2 more)
Two
3. With your current one (if you had to return one, focus on the latest one you have now) do you have lockups?
Never Had any lockups
4. How do you handle channel changes with the HD-PVR? packaged Hauppauge IR blaster, USBUIRT, Firewire, other?
Channels are Changed via USBUIRT
5. With your channel change setup how is it working for you?
Channel Change Works Great
6. What driver version are you using?
Latest 5.1 Driver HD PVR v1.1
7. Any other problems you are experiencing now with the HD-PVR?
No Problems.. It Just Workds
8. How well is it working on your clientPC, Extender etc? Mention the specs of the playback machine if relevant.
I only use extenders for playback. With the beta 5.1 driver. The PVR would occasionally have to be unplugged but that no longer happens with the latest v1.1 driver.
9. Tell me your overall, bottom-line impression of your HD-PVR. Hate it, A pain but worth it, like it, love it etc.
It has not be a pain for me. Except for me plugging in the SPIDF incorrectly it has just worked. It gets the Job done. Im happy with it and if the price to rent cable boxes wasnt $10, i'd prob get a third one.

1. Which version do you have? (C1, C2 etc)

C2

2. How many HD-PVRs are you using? (1, 2 more)

1

3. With your current one (if you had to return one, focus on the latest one you have now) do you have lockups?

Never had a lockup AFAIK (Knock on wood)

4. How do you handle channel changes with the HD-PVR? packaged Hauppauge IR blaster, USBUIRT, Firewire, other?

USB-UIRT

5. With your channel change setup how is it working for you?

Perfect, never missed a change (Knock on wood)

6. What driver version are you using?

Shipping driver (1.0?) Keep meaning to upgrade but am scared I will break something

7. Any other problems you are experiencing now with the HD-PVR?

No, all of my problems have been related to playback on the client.

8. How well is it working on your clientPC, Extender etc? Mention the specs of the playback machine if relevant.

Since I switched from the ArcSoft decoder to PowerDVD 7 (yes 7) and the beta demuxer I have what I consider to be flawless playback. So good that I put off my intended purchase of another HD Extender (before they went out of stock!)

9. Tell me your overall, bottom-line impression of your HD-PVR. Hate it, A pain but worth it, like it, love it etc.

I love it. I will probably be ordering another tonight to get rid of my last analog capture card.

Any other comments would be helpful. Thanks!

[*]Which version do you have?

C1, C2

[*]How many HD-PVRs are you using? (1, 2 more)

Two

[*]With your current one (if you had to return one, focus on the latest one you have now) do you have lockups?

Somethings. More so working with 2 units then I ever had with one. Now I reboot them both once a day before I leave for work........just to be safe.

In fact I can't remember ever having a lockup when I just had one uint.

[*]How do you handle channel changes with the HD-PVR? packaged Hauppauge IR blaster, USBUIRT, Firewire, other?

USBUIRT

[*]With your channel change setup how is it working for you?
95% good.

[*]What driver version are you using?
Newest

[*]Any other problems you are experiencing now with the HD-PVR?

Some lip sync problems now that I'm runing two units. Never had lip sync problems when using just one unit

[*]How well is it working on your clientPC, Extender etc? Mention the specs of the playback machine if relevant.

Works great on my 2 HD100 Extenders. awful on my one remaining clientPC. Need the HD100 to get back in stock..........badly

[*]Tell me your overall, bottom-line impression of your HD-PVR. Hate it, A pain but worth it, like it, love it etc.

1)Other then getting Comskip to work with it........ almost perfect.

2) Hauppauge Needs to work on the drivers for those of us using 2 or more units.

Do playback on an HD100 extender, no issues.

I like it. It's fairly transparent in my setup, which is what I wanted out of it.

Any other comments would be helpful.

My server is very straight forward, it doesn't really do anything else and only has the HVR-1600 as the other tuner which I think helps to make the device easier to set up and more stable.

It works fine with the extenders HD-100 and HD-200 except for channel changing

A pain but worth it
