Please help to choose the right bundle

Hi folks,

I want to build my own DVR that receives the digital TV signal over the air. I looked at the SageTV store page. There are many options, and I do not know what is right for me. Would anyone help me what to pick please? I just need the software, TV card, and a remote. Thanks in advance!

Billy

All you need is SageTV Hybrid Media Center In-a-Box

The only way to get any HD from cable or satellite into Sage is with a Hauppauge HD-PVR.

There is no one choice for you. You have to have the HD-PVR to get true HD from your Dish box but the HD-PVR does not have an OTA tuner so you will need another card for that.

The HDHomeRun is a great choice. I has good multi-path correction and will let you do two shows at once. It is a bit pricey. It is hard to go wrong with Hauppauge. I have a 1600 that I have been satisfied with.
