I've noticed that any title with a special character in it will work for the show summary but not for the group list if there are multiple recordings of that show. Examples:
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Samantha Who?
CSI: Miami

I'm hoping they fix it in a future version...

so I am a little confused - getting the impression that I am doing something wrong here:

I have my videos set up like this:

I:\Eureka\Eureka S1\Eureka - S01EXX - Episode Name.mpg
I:\Eureka\Eureka S2\Eureka - S02EXX - Episode Name.mpg

I placed a Eureka.jpg in the FanArt\Movies directory
with no effect

so I placed a background.jpg in the I:\Eureka directory - no effect. So then placed a Eureka.jpg and then a folder.jpg. No effect. No FanArt on the video file and the folder icons are still the generic Sage Icons. (Even tried rebooting and refreshing the Video Imports)

So then I placed a background.jpg in the I:\Eureka\Eureka S1\ directory - finally FanArt only on the individual video files.

I am getting them impression from this forum that I should be seeing FanArt in the main listing of seasons... what am I doing wrong? Help please! thx in advance.

Also, I would love to see the Movie Info Screen from jaminben or some version thereof integrated into the SageMC build - the FanArt option is amazing - but on the files I have it working on its distracting

Noticed the same thing last night. I'm sure it can be fixed.

523MB of Movie/TV/Music Backdrops. I've done a lot of work in the Movies directory and added a few to the TV directory. The Music is what is probably already posted here already.

614 Movies
298 Music
343 TV

Entire collection (Mirror 1)
Entire collection (Mirror 2)
Entire collection (Mirror 3)

I haven't verified any of these since there are limited downloads per file, so I don't want to use them up. The upload should have completed for these this time.
Note: You will need a program to open 7z (7-zip) archives. You can get one here: http://7-zip.org/download.html

pack 1 appears to be corrupt.

You are correct!
I will re-upload my entire directory. It seems that the file didn't completely upload and I didn't verify it after uploading it (boo to me). Hold tight!

I'm getting a "an exception occured during a webclient request. Is there any logging available with this to track down errors?

did you set the webserver details?

there's some limited logging, but not much more detail than what you're getting. there will be more in the next rev (along with a cmd line mode ).

Yes. I reset every setting to match my setup including custom port number used for webserver.

Sounds good. I'll keep playing with this one to see what I can figure out. Looking forward to this - Thanks!

Nope - just that message.

Is there anything in particular I should look for in the Sage log file?

Here's the error:
2008-12-27 23:46:49.75 : WS: http://sageserver:8081/sage/home
2008-12-27 23:46:51.78 : Error ScanMediaDoWork: System.Net.WebException: An exception occurred during a WebClient request. ---> System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path '\\Sageserver\c\Movie\10,000 BC.jpg'.

But my FanArt directory is set to \\Sageserver\c\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\STVs\SageTV3\SageMCE\MediaBackgrounds\

what happens if you share the MediaBackgrounds folder to make the UNC path = \\sageserver\mediabackgrounds\

2008-12-28 10:49:23.52 : WS: http://sageserver:8081/sage/home
2008-12-28 10:49:28.03 : Error ScanMediaDoWork: System.Net.WebException: An exception occurred during a WebClient request. ---> System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path '\\SAGESERVER\MediaBackgrounds\Movie\10,000 BC.jpg'.

Which is also correct, since all of my backdrops are in a folder called 'Movies' - does 'Movie' work also?

Additionally, the program isn't saving my change to the FanArt path. After closing it and reOpening, it has gone back to my old setting. This may be by design since it technically had an error, but I thought it worth noting.

The application automatically appends the child folder based on media type (I'd like to eventually support TV and Music, that's why it's designed in that way).

Looks like Brent used Movies in his write up (I was using Movie), so I'll change it for the next rev.
