I didn't say that. Sage does use the registry and reinstalling over your backup copy of the SageTV directory puts those default settings back in place. But there are some tweaks that CAN be done in the registry for Sage. Those you would need to remember were done and repeat the tweak on your new install. (The java heap memory tweak is one I can think of) Gerry
