Random freezes - FIXED

I unpacked and connected the SageTV HD Receiver tonight. At first, I was extremely disappointed: None of the Internet video would play at all (it would all stop after 10 seconds or so). I decided to let it sit for a few hours, thinking it was still doing the initial media scan. Afterwards, the video now appears to be working fine, even through PlayOn...no problems.

Tonight, I started playing some music off of my network, and then began browsing the file system. I attempted to access a password protected Windows fileshare. After entering my username and password, I receive a message on the screen that says "Invalid Directory". My unit is still playing the music now (20 minutes later), but it will not respond to any commands from the remote control. I do not have a loading indicator or anything similar.

Is this a common occurance?

I am running the latest version of the firmware.

I believe most of these problems were caused by the SageTV server scanning my media files for the first time. I've been using it now for nearly two weeks with no problems like what I describe. I suggest adding some mention that if you have a decent amount of media files, to let it catalog them overnight the first time you hook it up or performance may suffer.

I've been loving the SageTV as a media player, so far it's delivered as promised (though I wish PlayOn was supported better). Thanks!
