I even have A/V sync issues and stuttering issues with HDHR content, and SD content is not all that impressive.
I thought someone had gotten this working and the final key was that the codecs on his server ended up being the problem. He was trying to get transcoding working if I remember correctly. Might be worth the search.

I don't know why that would have anything to do with it as, AFAIK, DirectShow is not used in any part of the transcoding process.

I'm having issues with playback of any HD recording, be it OTA mpg-ps or HD PVR ts file. Audio seems ok, but video has wavy edges and will stutter. I'm trying placeshifter because ideally I'd like to use linux boxes as client computers, however I can't even get placeshifter in wondows to work right. Are there any settings I can tweak to help fix this?

Would like an official word

Can someone from Sage comment on this. Using netPCs and Placeshifter to access recorded HD content is part of my upgrade path consideration. If Placeshifter is the problem and this isn't addressed in V7 then I'd like to know.
