Don't confuse memory in the processor l2 cache for memory (ram) in the computer.

Ah, that makes sense that it was confused. But the limit is not 4 mb. It is 3 GB of RAM is available to Windows x86. Not megabytes.

That is not necessarily true about the memory. I have seen some motherboard reconise 3 gb and some reconise 4 gb. It all depends on the chipset you are using.

Most MBs will recognize much more than 4GB, the problem is that any 32-bit version of Windows won't report more than 3GB available for use. Doesn't mean the memory isn't there, just means the OS can't address it. Hence the push toward 64-bit OSs.

An additional stupid question if you would.

I see the latest BIOS upgrade supports processors with a 1333 MHz FSB.

Does this mean I can actually get it run at that speed, or does it downsize the processor speed to fit the board? Thanks
