Same here. My wife keeps asking me when we can eliminate some of the sub-menus that we don't use.

SageTV 7 is a LOT nicer looking than 6, but for the life of me I don't understand why they did not give us the option of changing the menu labels and being able to hide them or not.

I wanted to change the order of some of the menus and to change the default behavior. Had never heard of studio editor until this AM. It was not real hard to change the default behaviors once I found a simple guide here on the forums. So the functionality is there, it just take a little patience. I spent about 1.5 hours moving 2 menu items and changing the default action for one of the main menu items. I do have some old C (not C++ or C##) experience so that helped.

All that said - I think it would be nice to have simple dynamic menus again.

Here is an option for those looking for a dynamic menu. It is not an update to the original but rather Another Dynamic Menu (ADM).
