What the hell?????
Who feels superior with 2 old CRTS?
I was asked what I play it on and I answered.
THE REASON I AM MENTIONED THE V10 IS BECAUSE I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT I AM NOT COMPLAINING ABOUT 24P PLAYBACK ON A REGULAR SCREEN.
I have embraced and learned to live with the problem.
I opened a ticket with SAGE and the issue was not resolved.

The fact that PS3 does not have the issue as bad leads me to believe that is the HD200 an HD100.
I even tried with the same HDMI cable and input.
I will report back with the hd300 next week.

stanger89,
when I tried your settings:
extender_resolution_extra_modes=720x480i|Standard\=HDMI_480i59;1920x1080p@24|Standard\=1080p23
My V10 went black.
I dont know what the 23 does in your settings but I bet is not the right way since my pana goes black...

Well that line defines two resolutions a 480i and a 1080p24, it's possible your V10 doesn't support 480i over HDMI (my Samsung doesn't but my Planar does) and thus went black from that. Hitting V-out again should get past that.

1080p23 should be 1080p @ 23.975Hz, as opposed to 1080p24 which should be 24.000Hz.

Not the 480i. The 480i works fine.
When I switch to your 1080p 23 settings the screen goes black
When I change the client setting to 24 all is fine.

I'm curious what titles/scenes exhibit this issue. I own a VT25 and have watched several 24p movies using the hd300 w/o noticing any weirdness.

I've been pondering if 720p60 would be fast enough frame rate to capture the issue, I'm thinking not, probably would need at least 120....

I have heard the VT25 has a lot of the pioneer plasma tech.
And definitely superior to the V10.
No offense but also there is a possibility you can not see the difference.

If you can provide titles/scenes for where you see it, then (if I have that title) I can test it.

THE HD300 looks way better. I wonder if the v10 works differently with HDMI 1.2?

It uses a better chip, I guess any playback differences are probably related to that.

Just watched Serious Man.
Fine quality but I got one very nasty scene horizontal pan.

When he gets on the roof and the camera pans around the neighborhood.
Before he sees the naked woman in her backyard.
I get a headache.
