Does anyone have insight as to why Sage does not embed netflix support? As far as I can tell from the Nexflix developer site, it's free to use the API. They want the netflix player everywhere. OK, they could just add the support to the HD300. Works for me. No need for server support, plus this eliminates content copyright issues.

Is it a corporate philosophy thing? Is it a scoped out feature due to release schedules?

You can't just embed it. To stream the content you have to be approved by Netflix, have the PlayReady DRM built into the software/device etc.

Just a matter of programming... as they say. It's embedded in many devices already. Plus, I suspect the hard part is already done -- video, audio, network connectivity. My guess is that Netflix would be more than happy to allow Sage to embed the player into an HD300.

Read post #27. You can't just use the api, they have to approve you to use the api. Then you can start developing.
