There's no way that's legit. There have been a number of sites that have temporarily started accepting pre-orders of the HDHR Prime over the past few months. In each case Silicon Dust has warned people against ordering from them.

I wouldn't order anything until there's word from Silicon Dust on when the product will be released.

Plus, if you're a Sage user, you should really wait until there's word from Sage on whether or not they will support copy-freely content from the HDHR Prime.

All good points, particularly about waiting for Sage to announce support.

FWIW, this is the site that I ordered my HDHR3 from, and they actually had the product in stock a few days prior to their advertised availability date. Based on that experience, I tend to lean towards thinking this is legit.

I should probably clarify what I meant by legit. The site could very well be legit, but I have a hard time believing that they know that the HDHR Prime is being released in less than a month. I'm pretty sure SiliconDust has said several times that they would announce the availability of the HDHR Prime one month out and they'd start accepting pre-orders directly.

ShopBlt will presumably get HDHR Primes when they're out, but there was probably some sort of mistake that made that page go live before it was supposed to.

I'm kind of curious if that company canceled the pre-orders. It was obviously a mistake on their end. The HDHR Prime still hasn't completed OCUR certification testing. SiliconDust is hoping it will be certified on May 5th, but there's no guarantee it will happen then. The next opportunity would be June 23rd.

As I said before, SiliconDust has been telling people all along that they shouldn't do any pre-orders until they issue an announcement. They've said pre-orders would begin 30 days before the release date.

Was holding out on the Prime until the Ceton became available with no wait. Once that happened the uncertainty of the Prime was enough to sway my to an internal card. Pretty happy with the Ceton so far.
