Do you mean WMP doesn't stutter? No. Plays flawless.
MPC-HC stutter and/or pixilation.

I'll ensure its enabled now and report back!

Go to ffdshow in your start menu and the dxva ffdshow will be there. Look at the hardware acceleration section to enable/disable.

Woops. Didn't mean to quote myself!
I can't find the dxva setting in ffdshow.
Can you please post a screenshot?

I have to launch ffdshow via a script as described by bagavant.

How do you launch ffdshow? I'd like to see a screenshot.

I just go to start, programs, ffdshow. That is where you can configure ffdshow. I'll grab some screen shots when I get home.

Unfortunately that technique doesn't work for me. I have to run the script as described in the middle of this post.

I've never had to go through all that with ffdshow. Have you tried to just run ffdshow from the start menu?

I cannot start ffdshow from the start menu.
I have to run the script.
Once I load ffdshow video configuration however, I still do not see hardware acceleration section to enable/disable.

Did you ever get a screenshot?

You would have to use that script for the dxva setup as well. It isn't in the ffdshow setup. It is it's own menu. Did you ever cut a 2 min section of the video you were having trouble with?

Why do you use that script? You don't actually have to do that for sagetv. I've never needed to use it that way since we can just choose what we want in sage, merit of the decoder in dshow isn't relevant.

I only use the script to access Ffdshow to show GollyJer as he requested those screenshots and to try to check the DXVA settings. My ffdshow video config window is different than yours. I do not know the script to run that menu. The settings for dxva are not in the menu the linked script calls.

And BTW GollyJer, I again followed your directions to the T and still have stuttering. Frustration!
