2) however, the new demuxer did not fix the problem for live TV on the server. I am getting a "no signal" error for live TV on the problem channels
3) the new demuxer did not fix anything for the extender, recorded or live
I have tried the new demuxer posted yesterday and am experiencing the same results as before. Furthermore, I can confirm all three of Sparhawk6's observations still remain valid
1) Works for recroded shows
2) Does not work for live tv ... perhaps a different bug?? Again, I can see a few seconds of what is recorded if I change channnels. Or, if I wait for it to finish recording, I can watch it fine later.
3) And, well, as mentioned due to it being a firmware issue, my extenders will not work on live or recorded shows. Just to confirm, if I build my own extender running Windows with the client software and the new demuxer I will be fine correct?

So, certainly an improvement now that I can watch some of my recorded shows without having to run them through mpeg2repair/VideoRedo. Thanks a bunch for the assist on this. I appreciate all you have done, still wish Google would develop a sense of urgency.

And, well, to display my ignorance ... what is a "repro" file?

My findings with latest MpegDeMux.ax file on server;
* Live TV on HD100, HD200, Placeshifter, Windows Client with new file - "No Signal"
* Recordings work on HD100, HD200, Placeshifter, Windows Client with new file
* CommSkip was able to scan and detect commercials.

HD channels with problem;
HLN, LN, CNN, MNBC, CN, FX, VEL, HGTV, FOOD, A&E and E!

Just noticed this problem today. I rearly watch live tv, but today I tested recording 3 channels at the sametime and noticed.

HDHR Prime 20120704beta1
SageDCT 2.2.0

Just noticed that CommSkip is reading and detecting commercials while recording. This is how I have it set, but intresting that it can read the video file while it's recording. Just an observation, that's all.

I can confim that I still cannot view LiveTV on the server with the newest demuxer babgvant posted yesterday.

I'm not sure how I can reproduce the issue, since the recordings play fine after the show is over. I guess I'll upload it anyway.

EDIT: Anyway, I've uploaded a recording that would not play in LiveTV, but it plays now that it is recorded. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/43581/Prope...SSplit.1-14.ts

So, you get playback on an extender of a problem file with the new demuxer file on the server? From what I understand that takes a new extender firmware.

I do not. I can play a bad file with SageTV Client with the new file on the Windows client, but still can not play a bad file on extenders. Can anyone else confirm that they can play bad files with extenders with the new demuxer on the server?

Thanks
I have no easy way to try playing files directly on my server, so I have not experimented with that. However, I did try the new demuxer on my SageTV Client and also have the new demuxer file on the server, and I can play bad files that have completed recording on my SageTV Client, but I still cannot play Live TV. Of course, I also cannot play recorded or Live TV on my extenders. I have grabbed a small bit if a channel that does not play Live TV and placed it at the link below.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/84557494/foodhd.ts

Again, thanks so much for yours and Qian's help!

I just tried to play your foodhd.ts file on my HD200 and I got nothing, so it looks like I don't have the same problem you have. My problem is only with LiveTV on the channels I posted above.

I do remember having LiveTV problems back when I had a Firewire STB setup. I remember setting a tuning delay in SGraphRecorder.ini to make sure the stream was going before Graph started. I wonder if SageDCT needs a delay, but then again, SageTV is recording the stream.

Ok, now all my HDHR Prime channels works as they should, Live TV and all. I even removed the newer DeMux file and all is still good.

Are the networks or cable companys playing around with the streams or what? Just plain wierd.

Yes, I think they are.

Thanks babgvant! Things are much improved with the updated demux. I did not try the earlier one you posted. I can watch my old unplayable MadMen files from AMCHD and the LiveTV is working much better. I did get a channel or two that "No Signaled" me, but I have to investigate further. It's not the same channels that have been giving me fits. Thanks again.

I have found the affected channels can change, usually related to a Prime reboot/power cycle.

I have now read through the pages, and I have switched to not using UNC paths. And I am still having memory issues. It is a lot less than before, only 1.5 Gig after 30 minutes of recording 3 channels at once. But that is still eating up all available memory.

Putting the current issue aside ... Have not tried the new splitter yet ... Can record whatever you sign up for from mediacom with the prime and a cable card ... Had all of their stations for about a month and half until a few weeks ago when they sent out an update that locked it down to what you have bought. I have yet to hit a show with the copy flag turned on ... Of course there is always a first time and it sounds like a few providers are getting ready for their first time over the next few months

I sincerely appreciate the effort!!!! Unfortunately, I am still having the issue with live tv. Just to be sure I am doing this correctly ... the zip file had two files ... one with a .28 extension and one with a .29 extension ... I am assuming different versions. I copied them to the Common folder, add ".old" to my TSSplitter.ax and tried the .28 version first and the .29 version second with no noticable difference.

If I did something wrong, please let me know. Thanks again for all of your help!!!

Sorry. Move the old version off somewhere, then move in either .28 or .29 and remove the .28 (or .29) -> TSSplitter.ax.

If you see different/better results with one v. the other note what they are.
