I have a few small issues. One is that none of the backgrounds show up. I have a grey background all the time. Fanart does the same when in the guide or something else. Also, the menu transparency doesn't seem to do anything.

This is on a clean install. I also found that some other plugins will break gemstone if you install them (they are usually stuff that is included anyway, I wasn't paying attention.)

There is only one background in this release used for all menu items.

You can setup your own per menu item backgrounds from the menu manager.

Menu transparency options are for the text on the main menu when focused or not. Some people like the unselected items to hide vs still show but faded etc...

There will be some background packages included in a future release that you will be able to select from as well as different colored highlight images.

The following is a list of the included plugins that I can recall (no need to install as they are part of the STVi):
