Excellent response.

Dan, is there a time limit on making a decision to return the bundle? I'm willing to hold on to it for 2-3 weeks since ya'll are working on this issue; but only with the reassurance that this will not affect my ability to return the bundle should a solution not be found within that time frame.

After all, the sheer economics ($400 vs. $220) make a working Roslyn solution extremely attractive.

Don't worry about the timeframe for returns. We will do our best to accomodate all reasonable requests.

Dan

Indeed, thank you for the being upfront with us. I, too, am willing to wait for a short period of time. Also, if it is believed to be an ASUS issue, I will without a doubt be willing to switch to an ABIT NF7-S. As I stated earlier, I didn't want to move to another system without knowing prior if I was moving from the frying pan to the frying pan.

dkardatzke: Can you be more specific as to the issue? Is it something to do with ASUS' implementation of the NF2 chipset? Or???

SHS: Normally I would agree with this point, but it appears that ASUS is the top manufacterer of motherboards. Seeing as how I used to do QC for a living, if it were me, I would make sure that I would test an ASUS as part of a test bed as to try and cover the most end-users as possible. I also understand that it is an impossibility to test every possible combination of hardware, but I would try to test the most popular setups and try to deal with the hopefully smaller amount of problems from people using other configs.

I look forward to updated drivers, if nothing else.

Regards,

Beau

This is just the kind of response that I was hoping to hear from the Frey. I just bought the two tuner Roslyn package, and have an Asus motherboard. I've certainly got plenty of other things to keep me busy putting this digital media center together. For the time being, I am utilizing a single tuner card, the other is waiting in the wings for the issue to be resolved. I am happy to let the driver development effort to take it's due time, before I install the second card. I think that the software is excellent, and the fix will be well worth the wait. Thank you for the attention to it.
