Is there a way for me to configure my sageTV server to only use an http (or socks) proxy instead of a direct connection?

I've never done this myself... but you might be able to add some -D options to the Java command line when sagetv starts up to set a socksProxyHost

On Linux I know to to change sagetv commandline, but I have no idea how to do this under windows.

Thanks Stuckless. I actually figured out an easier way to accomplish the same thing.... ProxyCap. I can configure in one location/GUI any process I want to use a proxy with. I just told it to use SageTVService.exe; and, it worked!
