I finally fixed the problem on my system. All I had to do was uninstall and then reinstall PowerDVD. All better now .

Great But how would PowerDVD cause this type of problem?. I've heard on WinDVD causing problems for systems with PVR cards. But that makes some sense since they both use Intervideo codecs. Could it have something to do with a demultiplexer that was installed?
