Loud Audio Kills All Audio
When I'm watching a movie (DVD/BluRay folder, but have also tried converting to MKV) on the HD300 sometimes when there's a loud sound effect like an explosion all audio playback stops. I can do a jump forward then back to right after the explosion and audio is fine. But that sort of kills the movie watching especially if it's an action flick
 .The receiver is a Yamaha RX-V867 and the HD300 has firmware 20110506-0 with HD audio bitstreaming. Watching the movie on a BluRay player through the same receiver does not have this issue. Watching the MKV version through Placeshifter (local LAN streaming--not through the receiver though) works. Any ideas what could cause this?

Firmware 20110506-0 has HD-Audio problems. Try beta firmware 20110124-2. See this discussion.
