I misunderstood the question. I thought you were referring to the SageT fanart for Live TV. Can't you have MCEBuddy integrate the live recording into the library and then have the fanart scaper run more often?

Hi. I have never used SageTV before and I plan on using it once it becomes open source. I was just asking whether this kind of feature was already implemented. Many other softwares use Schedules Direct TV listings and artwork. Also they get some info from TheTVDB and TMDB.
Kodi doesn't support these features whether backend supports it or not. I don't know about SageTV.
I think these features would take any software closer to true DVR, like TiVo. Unfortunaly TiVo isn't available in my country.

Yes-Fanart for TV and Movies is already implemented in SageTV via the plugins. The Program Guide can also grab the channel logos for US Cable stations.
