I seem to have a problem I am using an WMC tuner to capture DRM channels ... I recently moved to Schedules Direct ... So I copied the channel lineup over to my Encoder 1 but it does not update the guide ... I tried requesting an EPG update through the browser but it still did not update. I want to only enable the DRM channels in the Encoder 1.

That should work. The code provisions for your configuration and I'm doing something similar at my house. Try deleting the file sdmd5sched (no need to stop or restart SageTV) and running the update again.

I loaded up your lineup on my test machine and everything was at the correct offset. Is everything off by 3 hours? I'm having a hard time thinking of what might be wrong here, but it does have to do with time zones.

I just checked my guide for OTA in the same area as you. Channel 8.1 was messed up tonight. Chicago Med and Blacklist were listed at 6pm & 7pm and again at 9pm & 10pm. I'm still using the default sage server.

Unfortunately I didn't find this until now, and the 'real' Blacklist is just ending. I now have a recording of a stupid entertainment show.

Yeah that was the problem I caught It in time and deleted the recordings as wrong recordings.

Funny thing is the HDHRDVR was wrong too and they use Gracenote.

That makes me feel a little better. I wasn't sure if we had some kind of latent bug when converting the time zones. It sounds like the guide data was not provided in UTC at the source.

If there's a schedule issue with the guide that we (Schedules Direct) provide, please open a ticket at the Schedules Direct website (where you signed up for your account) so that we can investigate and escalate to Gracenote if necessary.

From what I read, some stations outside of North America might have as little as 7 days worth of guide data. To Be Announced must have came from Schedules Direct because if the data just didn't come in SageTV would create an airing that read No Data instead.

Thanks. Normally it has 14, so hopefully it's just a temporary glitch. I've raised it with SD.

Talking to SD, for UK data they have a bulk load on a Thursday, so they expect to get down to 7-8 days of data prior to that. This is obviously inferior to the UK sources, where we get daily bulk updates, but it's a judgement call whether the improved data from SD makes up for this. For me it does.

Anyway, since we're now on Friday, my EPG has refreshed, but I still see a bunch of "To Be Announced" channels on 21st Jan. Is there any way I can see the raw data coming from SD to check it out?

To Be Anounced is coming from the actual title of the show as provided by Schedules Direct. You can enable logging of the raw JSON communications, but I can almost guarantee you that you will not see anything more than what you're already seeing in the guide.

I was just worried that TBA had come through originally but that updates were failing for some reason. If that's not possible I'll just wait for SD to get back to me again. Thanks.

No problem. If you want to see if it might just be a failing in the SD integration you can try to force the schedule to be rebuilt in SageTV by deleting the file sdmd5sched in the SageTV folder, then forcing an EPG update. (I'd probably force an update before doing this too just so that we are reasonably comparing apples to apples)

Okay, I'll give that a shot. Out of interest, once I tell Sage to update the EPG, how long (roughly) until it finishes and all are available in EPG? Just wondering how long to be hitting refresh...

Edit: Never mind, looks like about 10 seconds for an update, and I could see the rebuild taking place in the log. Didn't help though.

Deleting that file only re-imports all of the airings, not the shows, so it should be generally very fast. The key detail is that if the airing were to reference a show that's not already in the database, then it would need to download it. If that was happening, then we might have an issue with the airing hashes (because when those change, that means the airing times have changed and/or details about shows have changed within that station), but as you just demonstrated, that doesn't appear to be the case. It looks like they simply don't have more data at this time.
