pretty sure the core, 1080/720 signals will be unaffected, aka same as today.

Once ATSC 3.0 tuners are released for PCs then this should be a way for getting 4K Recorded TV into SageTV. There are some 4K encoders available in China that can capture 2160p30 that could be used with 4K cable boxes or satellite boxes but I don't know that anyone is using them with SageTV yet.
