Those Phillips remotes were never really supposed to work in non-MCE systems. I'm surprised it still works at all. I'm guessing the code changes are for the new MCE 2005, which should be released in the next couple months, as the code base has gone gold now.
If the Extender boxes are cheap enough, these machines will give Sage and the other PVR software solutions a run for their money..
