Under Time Recordings channels are not showing up in version 15B. This is when you like to record something on a channel on a specific hour....
It does work in v14 though.

I think Compress is still broken as it still doesn't change or make an xml file in the Jobs folder when I click it. Anyone else get it to work?

Davey

Also, when in Two Pane Horizontal View of Recordings, if you go into detailed information and delete a show, it doesn't close and go back to the two pane view, it deletes the show but stays in the detailed info for that show (even though you just deleted it).

Just curious, Have there been any changes to the "Cayar Menu file" The reason I ask is to know if I can just keep putting my Cutom Menu file back in after these updates or will I be missing or messing anything up

If your going to help test the beta version you need to install everything from the zip each time as anything in the zip can change from version to version.

I don't keep track of changes between builds but only "releases". With that said I "think" the menu file only changed for the A or B build but I know it didn't change in C or D.

Sorry guys, I thought I was editing a different message. I didn't realize I removed the D download link.

Link removed, Release 15 has been officially released.

Davey, have you set the job folder (new) in compress options? If not, it's not going to work.

what font setting controls the font inside of the OSD (non-enhanced and enhanced)? I can't seem to make it bigger. If you could tell me the setting inside of Sage.Properties file, that would be helpful too. I want to change the actaul font, not just font size.

My inclination is that this OSD font is tied to some other font and if I make the OSD font bigger, then some other font will get too big. if i'm right, is tehre anyway to separate out these fonts?

i am still getting the watched bar problem with testcode d. just so you know, the weird rendering problem is for shows that I haven't watched-so for shows that should not be colored inat all are colored in all funky.

Hi Carlo,

So in the Setup Compress Job folder was set to ./Jobs, instead of Compressor/Jobs. I fixed that and it is now generating the xml file for compression. However, inside this file where it set <TargetRoot> this is blank, even though it is setup properly in the Sage.properties file. Is there another place to set this attribute? When I enter the target manually into the xml file everything works fine. I also notice that when you compress a file you lose the CS ability, but I'm assuming this is a trade-off situation...

thanks

Davey

davey,

i think, ideally, you would want to do teh comskip first, then edit the commercials out using a mpg editor, then do acompress.

there's always going to be a tradeoff of not having the shows stay in sage recordings if you do any sort of mpg edit, be that compress or editing out the commercials.

that is, unless, someone with studio finds a solution. maybe for money...

the way I look at it.. If I'm going to compress something, be it a movie etc. then it's worth doing the mpg edit, even if it's external. I don't have a problem with that. Do you use Compress yourself? Are you having any issues with the Target Directory not being placed into the xml file? I believe this is one of my last hurdles and I can move this box into a full-use test environment.

OK I fixed this one Davey, I guess you can tell I'm up to something with the compression. I'm doing a lot of "setup" for version 16 in this release.
