Nice! Looking forward to them. Also, a hint for some, on the BTV forums you can get the Tivo sounds. Having never heard a Tivo they sounded odd to me but others may like them .

mlb - keep forgetting to ask you but do you use your mce2005 remote for controlling sageTV too?

if so then i assume that the actual "back" button on the mce remote will take you backwards through your stv menu screens like it does in mce2005.

When I get Sage back on the main HTPC I will. I am told that Back is one of the buttons you can bind with Sage. Not all buttons on the remote though are usable by Sage.

I'm using Client and not an MVP. I can hear the sounds fine played manually from the directory. I assume others get nav sounds so what's the trick?

A small bug - if I pause an MP3 I'm not able to resume. I have to press 'stop' and then 'play' (which starts the song from the top of course).

Love the STV mlbdude.

Love the showing of the conflicts in the upcoming schedule, very helpful.

I will have to figure out which button on my remote to bind to 'back' but I will deal with that.

Agree that the WRS is a must for showing radar etc in the beta version, and agree with leaving comskip out for now - never worked enough of the time for me and took too much processor to be helpful. I find setting my ffwd button to 3 minutes is better than anything for skipping those commercials!

Maybe I'm just a dumbass, but what do all the icons mean? Some with shadows some without etc...

No. I am waiting on Frey to implement this in the core so that I can not only use it for imports but for Sage recordings. That way the data for sage recordings would never be lost.

Not to sound like I am questioning your ability but how is it theat nielm's webserver is able to get this data (of course he may be using the epg data...)

There is another thread about naming conventions and in it stanger89 said that there are some stv's that are optputting xml show information. http://forums.freytechnologies.com/f...4&postcount=15

Just wondering which stv's those are and if it could be implementd into SAGE MC

I have not tried the webserver but I would did not know that neilm was doing anything with imported video files. I though he was just using Sage recordings and airing.

Outputting XML information is easy, reading it in is the hard part. Then how to add it to Sage is another issue.

It looks like the new beta does this another way and is not going to use any kind of offline storage. I may look into this sooner if that is the case.

ok, thanks.

Just FYI Malore, MalDude and Cayars are outputting xml
See:http://forums.freytechnologies.com/f...9&postcount=18

Outputting the xml info for each show is all I am asking.. importing back in is another issue...

I don't have volume control on the sounds, they are part of the wav files themselves. I am hoping we will get some better user created/submitted schemes. Also, kny, how about posting your showicons? I noticed in a screencap awhile back that they looked pretty good. I think they are nice for people running i higher resolutions.

I am having trouble getting the sounds working. Is there supposed to be a line in the properties file that points to the sounds folder? I don't have one. I also noticed that my line in the properties file for the weather icons points to something like: \freytechnologies\sagetv\stvs\originalv2\weather\icons

but i think you mentioned to place it under the sagemc folder. I can't get the weather icons to show up either.
Thanks
juc

It is best to unzip SageMC to your OrigionalV2 folder. Then delete all mlbdude/weather lines in your properties file. There may be some old ones in there from another STV. There is no configuration needed for the sounds as long as you installed sageMC to the proper location. Make sure the sounds folder is there. Also, sounds do not work on the MVP.

Something I have not tested is if the Sage volume affects the volume of the sounds.

I think this is a bug, but could be user error: when watching a recorded TV show, if you hit stop and then hit "restart" the file resumes from where you left off, it does not go back to the beginning.

I love this STV, high WAF.

Version:
Sage TV 2.2.1
SageMC 4.9
SageMVP 1.1b6

This is an unannounced/unsupported/unofficial feature of 2.1

The instructions above are for the OriginalV2 STV... for a custom STV, you will need to ask the STV developer to generate a translation source (or PM me which STV/version/combination of imports that you use with your email, and I will send you one)

Mlbdude

Could you provide me the with the translation source?

I use Sage V 2.1 and your STV V 4.9

And would it be possible to include the translation source in future releases, like cayars now does ?

The STV is great. thanks for your outstanding work and sharing this

I will begin to include this with the releases. Next one will be a bug fix release early this weekend.
