mlbdude,

This topic was somewhat mentioned earlier but not exactly (about the "back" button). Is there any way we can get the left arrow to go back to the previous screen on all screens except the EPG? Similar to Meedio/myHTPC, when you hit the left arrow and there's nowhere left to go, then "back" seems logical.

not sure which ones you wanted
so I will add both
there are the ones I resized for MCE
and the old icons I resized & modified for your old STV
(they are quite large in size so I am only including one of each icon available, they were used several times in the old STV though)
and there are the other icons with the same format just were not used
and have not been sized to fit mlbdude's old STV
I will have to attach this in 3 posts Sorry

First at all: you are doing a great job, I think everyone agrees on that one!!!!

Second: I know you don't take any request, but I'll try to make one:

In the Maldude2 STV you had included a folderbrowsing option for the music media collection and I really am enjoying that option, but it seems to be lost in this STV... :-(

Is it easy and possible to include it again?

I think you mean the browse by folder menu for music. I don't plan on adding that funciontality in this STV. It will rely on the mp3 tags. What are the reasons you want it added?

so since id3 tags have been improved for 2.2.2 does that mean that my desire has been finally answered or at least potential to be? (music by genre)

as a side a random play button would be nice as i can't find a way to play all in collection right now just all in an album with this .stv

my current solution was to move all my music to seperate genre folders and add the contents of the folders to sage playlists but this technique failed miserably as sage loses its playlist association when you redefine a music collection location

I will be adding Genre soon. It is not because of changes in Sage though. The amount of clerical work that is involved in adding it was just too much for me. A big thanks will go out to meekell on this one.

To play your enitre library randomly make sure Shuffle play is enabled, and when in any album click on a song. Select Play From Here. I will be adding this new menu item to the rest of the music library too.

Yep, that is what I meant.
A lot of my MP3's don't contain the right album info, this solved it

Would be really nice if you added playback support for COMSKIP. Not a big deal if you don't want to put in all of the plumbing to generate the COMSKIP fiules (that can be done easily enough by the enbd use with a scheduled script).

Would be a great (and I beleive very easy) addition to the STV.

I know you don't use it yourself, but if you could just add playback support for COMSKIP it would be really helpful to a lot of us!

That is essentially there already. At some point I will be adding an XML import for the additional metadata, but I am too lazy to keep up with teh metadata so not sure when.

ok just one teeny weeny little request then i'll promise not to ask for another thing for at least a day...

when you have selected a genre can we get a "play all" button added on the side menu?

that is how primative my music playback is. i'm in absolute heaven if that feature were in place

actually let me pull that back a bit...with what you have done (with input from meekel) and if jeff could just code a primative bar and scale 3d viz or a dancing sine wave then i'd have everything i ever wanted from the music portion and my desire to jump to mce just massively diminished.

Yeah, especially for someone using keyboard it is very dificult to navigate.. But even with a remote control... I like the style and how it look, its very simple and neat...

Really nice. The only comment I have is that once you have selection a genre for music, you can not go back to a "show all", you can only select another genre.. How about a "All Genres" or reset flag? And perhaps add "View by Genre" as part of the new toggle for the "View By Album" and "View by Artist" button??

I really like to toggle button for My Music and My Videos.

Are you sure you are going to Beta this and not just slip it into the 1.0 realm?

Thanks a lot for this 5.0 Alpha (or is it 4.9.5?).
Now Music is a real part of it.

The stop screen that comes up after stopping playback seems to be rather small. I have to adjust my overscan quite a bit to iliminate the edges showing. This also cause other problems like buttons getting cut off on the normal screens. Can you make that screen large by any chance?

Also is there any posibility of getting channel logos to appear beside the station call letters?

And sometime when I'm navigating around I'll hit the back key a bunch of times to ensure I'm back at the beginning, however on occasion it'll bring me into live tv unexpectedly... Can the main menu be the last, final screen, so that back doesn't work there?
