Just curious ... Does the Firefly have a Sage plug-in? My current ATI remote has a Sage plug-in, developed by Nielm I believe.

Thanks, T.

Thumbs up

Very impressive work, mlbdude.

Just one thing, is there any chance that you might consider "rounding" the edges of the graphics in the guide? I know that MCE has the 'squared off' corners in it's guide, and this was the inspiration for this stv you are doing but since it's not an "identical" copy of the MCE I think it would be more consistent looking with all the graphical elements having rounded corners/edges. Just my opinion.

Firefly works out of the box with Sage. You may need to map some additional buttons, but that's simple in the detailed setup.

I'm actually looking for squared off images for the rest of the STV. If anyone knows where I can find some good quality ones let me know. The only other ones I know of are the XLobby ones and they are not quite good enough.

Have you looked at the MCE skin for media portal? It's available on sourceforge and has all the graphics already in PNG format. Its an open source project but I dont know what the rules of using the images are.

Ahhhhh not quite. You also need to change the window class to sage.SpecialWindow in the Sage XML file if you are using 2.1.

mlbdude,

Is your alpha availble to test or just screen shots for now?

Also, I noticed you have Orlando stations in your screenshots. Where about do you live in Orlando area?

I am keeping the download in the first post.

I live on the coast in Melbourne. Hurricane shield for Orlando.

mlbdude,

As much as my wife has accepted the more "complex" STVs that I've been experimenting with, this got a huge nod from her.

Obviously, SageMC's simplicity is the root of why you made it.

However, she only had one thing that disappointed her..... she has become addicated to salblst's Weather Suite. That's it. Everything else she said was perfect.

In fact, the large fonts your STV naturally uses are nearly perfect in size for the MVP client. Some of the other one's are a little hard to see.

A couple of notes from my end:

1. Watching on a PC, the navigation is a little tricky. For instance:
a. When playing a program, you cannot use the mouse to navigate through the program and I haven't found the keystrokes to emulate FF1+2 and REW1+2 yet. When you click on the "PLAY" icon when the OSD pop's up during show playback, there's no way (without the remote) to get it to play again.
b. Again, no mouse navigation through the menus. I did figure out that ALT+LEFT ARROW will go back one menu.
c. Only suggestion on the interface is on the recorded shows or the upcoming episodes to show the channel in the mini-detail info. That way, if I'm looking up CSI, I can quickly see the one's on CBS, rather than Spike TV. Also, the "F" for first-run indicator would be nice, too.

Great job..... If I still lived in Orlando ("escaped" 8 years ago), my wife would buy you lunch :-)

Best regards,

Stacy

The mouse navigation will be removed from the STV (if there is any left in there). This is a remote only HTPC one. Just like MCE.

The Weather program will probably be integrated after initial release.

I will add channel to the program detail.

Sorry to get off track a littl bit but, "MVP client"? Is someone working on an Hauppauge MVP client for SageTV?

hey can you make some sort of watched icon or something
I am really bad about deleting stuff I have watched
and there are others that watch this so I can delete everything
and I am having a hard time figuring out what I have watched without reading though the descriptions and such

Thanks
