Thanks
These are the icons that I WANT to add:
Watched
Don't Like
Recording as a Series
Recording via LiveTV

I just don't have any yet that fit the look of the STV. They are needed though before I go beta. Will hunt the net this weekend.

Try the "MVP client Avialable" thread in Hardware Support:

What? Where have you been?
(Just kidding)

Matt has come up with an AWESOME MVP Client that pretty much replicates everything you see on SageTV.

Mlbdude,

Is there any way to remove the LiveTV menu from the skin? I am using this for my MediaMVP and don't want it grabbing an encoder card and then not be able to record scheduled shows. Or maybe I am paranoid because I haven't been using SageTV directly (only as a back-end PVR) and maybe it would pop-up a message and handle the situation where it needed to change channels to record something. Thanks.

By default if you grab an encoder Sage will popup a warning dialog before it needs to change channels asking if you want to change the channel now. If you do nothing Sage will auto change channels. Also, if you select LiveTV and all the tuners are busy recording something, it will ask if you want to cancel the recording.

Not for the first release, but afte that I will add the ability to enable/disable some menu's. Though I think most of this will be on the Start menu.

It will pop up a message and let you know it intends to change the channel unless you overide it. If you don't answer the prompt (away from the screen) it will change on it's own and record the show.

So how do you go back to the previous screen if you have a remote?

Use the Back command.

Bind a button to the "Back" command in the settings for your remote.

well i updated to the alpha 3 and am having some issues...maybe. Not having used MCE I am not sure if this is how it is supposed to be. When I go into My Music or Settings the screen is really dark and if I arrow up or down it gets progressivly lighter until it is normal (with a black border around the options). All the other selections work fine though. Also, just wondering if we have to use the new folder based My Videos screen or can we still use the horizontal one from before. Thanks

Make sure you have installed the STV to your OrigionalV2 folder. Those menus should still have the old style to them though it is possible they are in a bad state until I update them but that does not sound like something I could have done.

kny,

Thanks for that suggestion. I went and looked. There are unique icons I could use but they may be compatible with this look and feel. We will see how desperate I get .

How about these? They are custom made based on the look of Sage's original Conflict Icon.

Thanks. I've never made any icons before, but things were a little slow today so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Those are nice . They are too hard to read when they are shrunk down. The Don't Like one should work though.

Since you have some tallent, I can show you images of MCE. Think you can create the red series icon? It would be cool if you could also make me a single one to replace the current single recording icon. Maybe the same shape as the single recording icon in yellow would be good for LiveTV viewing.

Is this what you're looking for?
I did the red and yellow icons as glassy orbs and as plain discs, use whichever you like.

I'm assuming for a series you wanted the trailing red dots, so I did that as an orb and disc also.

I included a glass blue orb with a "W" in it for watched, as well as revised watched TV with a W in it. I think those might be easier to read.
