View Full Version : Relocation to Europe

There is a strong possibility that I will be moving to Europe (Belgium) by the end of the year and I would like to take my Sage system with me. I think the most I can hope for is satellite programming so I can get English stations, but I wonder if someone can give me their experiences with Sage overseas and the best ways to set it up.

What options do I have available to me?

I'm not sure about the options available in Belgium, but in speaking of Europe in general your options are quite good.

Most countries use DVB-T/C (PAL) which is fully supported by SageTV... well except from the occasional missing subtitles. Online content is, of course, more limited than in the States, but one can hardly blame SageTV for that, as it is the content providers who has set the access limitations to 'US Only'. There are ways around that, but that is a different story.

I've been using SageTV as the only way to watch television and... well pretty much everything... for about 1 year by now, and the WAF is rather high as long as I keep the tinkering at a minimum.
