Scroll a table that doesn't have focus?

Is there way to scroll a table that doesn't have focus? I am not talking about ensuring visibility, I want to actually send a scroll command to a table to it will scroll naturally (animations and such ) vs ensuring visibility. Like a send scrolldown or scroolup command to a vertical table.

I recall a discussion around this in the Studio forum back in the day. You might be able to dig something up with Search.
