Sage network without the PC?

Would a sage network consisting of 3 HD theater 300s, 2 Silicon dust HDhomeruns, and a NAS be functional for a system that records HD and serves music and movies?

well, I swapped it over to the onboard optical...

well, I swapped it over to the onboard optical out and it is working fine. still would rather use the hdmi so I can have this optical for my ps2. looks like i can narrow my search though.
