There isn't any correlation between the xx.log enumeration and the tuner letter I'm afraid, it all depends on how SageTV detects the tuners every time you start the server, otherwise the channel...

No, I don't think so, the FRQ file has nothing to do with this (unless the same channel never tunes), you're experiencing the same symptoms of James tuner (TBS6984)...
