Colossus 2 and SageTV

Has anyone mustered up the strength and $$$ to go grab a colossus 2 and try it out with SageTV? I'm interested in moving back to SageTV and hoping someone else has taken the plunge.

Not good...turns out coyldnt get it stable and ran out of money. So, I sold my extenders and converted to WMC. Its not perfect, but recording is flawless....sorry for the bad news...

I guess my point is that I, too was using the serial post channel changing. The switch is easy, simple, and straight forward. I also find the HTTP interface changes the channel slightly faster.

Modern DirecTV STBs have ethernet ports on them and you can use that to tune the channels. I've been doing this (although not on the H-25) for about 1 year now without a problem.

While I haven't had your problem with the HD-PVR, I have noticed the latesrt released drivers do perform better with less crashing. Go for it. :)

I found a slight increase in sharpness. I have DirecTV STBs (HR-21 and HR 24, I think). It could also be in color space conversion and not just analog to digital.
