90% CPU usage from sage client!
I know that some people had mentioned that they had issues with gig-E and had to adjust the NIC settings. I believe that Opus4 made a sticky on it. Perhaps this would help your situation.

I dont know that the mobo is having issues. I just know that I have had good luck resolving issues if the hardware is using the latest drivers.

As far as I know VLC cant be used to view live TV. It can play the recordings, but if I remember correctly, VLC wants the file to be completed before it will play it.
