I've found WHS as the best all round solutions. Great if you want it to act as your central storage solution too! plus the backup service for backing up all those complicated HTPC setups is so easy....

I use xmltv gui to pull the guide data from the radio times...

epg, no bother if you have one lineup and take OTA data....... but by God as soon as you try and do anything clever such as have freeview and freesat here in the UK then it gets painful that first...

my mate had one of those cards with the same symptoms. It looked like it worked, was detected, even the i/r worked but it would not pick up any signal, tried it on 3 pcs as I could not believe it...

I ask as the channels are ordered by number in the epg thus its important to know.
