DTS, Dolby Digital, etc output on Linux?
I'm current using a headless Linux server and an HD300 front end. I haven't found anything I like as much as SageTV w.r.t to TV recording and Movie integration, so I'm sticking with it as long as I...

Moving sage install to Ubuntu 11.10 amd64.
I've been running Sage on a 64-bit Ubuntu for a while, most recently 10.10. I decided to upgrade to 11.10. I'm using the same PC with the same NIC so I don't have to worry about the license server....

For some reason, I didn't think about the user-level software having to know about the offload, VDPAU in this case. Of course it does. It has to know to hand off an H.264 stream rather than just...

Advice on a Linux PC-as-extender replacement.
I'm planing for the day when my guide data dies and I need to move away from my SageTV server + HD300 extender. As far as I can tell, the only other system that has a real appliance-y non-PC-based...

For current versions of vSphere (and probably Xen) VM-to-VM networking is limited by CPU cycles. If you're seeing an artificial limit, something is wrong.

Linux server version of 7.1.9 might be wrong.
If I diff my 7.1.7 install against an untar'd 7.1.9 directory, only the EULA and SageTV7.xml file differ.
