Wasn't ready for that answer. What tuner or viewing device is feeding the media to the Colossus? I believe Sage controls the recording bitrate of the Colossus from the properties file.

It's somewhere in that list. Just change malore to default.

I do wonder about media servers that have worked hard at transcoding features for remote viewing (such as Plex) - I'm just not sure how they would implement a smooth fast forward, somewhat like Sage....
