I have used 7MC, BTV, and others with an array of network media players going back 8 years or so.....hands down SageTV + HD200/300 is the best DVR/PVR solution out there.

.mp4 is a video format

FWIW IMHO nothing beats the original quality and since HDDs are cheap...

The .ts files that Colosuss creates are h264 which is a lot harder to comskip than the .ts mpeg files that the HDHR and PVR500 create. It takes my PC about twice as long to find commercials in h264...
