Really? I thought the API was a just nuts

I like the idea of customization, but the "API" is like no other I have used. It reminds me of what programming a programmable remote used to be before the Harmony line came out.

But my...

I still haven't been able to add a second HD-PVR

I can see the second device in the device manager, but sage won't recognize it.

I ran HWCLEAR, rebooted, reinstalled everything, but still only get one. I may have to use a network encoder, but I...

An actual interface!!!

I had no idea. Perhaps I will have to get VRD. I like actual programming solutions... that's what I do. I would have been happy with being able to invoke it without a GUI. Thanks. Maybe I can...

This just happened to me for the second week in a row

I recorded House on my HDHomerun and have had this problem for the last two weeks. I also had a problem last week with Terminator (the show, not the movie). I haven't seen it with any other...

And the remote is spoken for...

Sam wins. I am glad to be rid of it, and I will never give them money again. I got a really good deal on the harmony, and it is a huge upgrade. Problem solved.

Thumbs down Who has an MX-700 and wants another one? Mine is useless to me...

So I recently switched my setup to use the sage extender instead of my computer in my family room. Little did I know that since the last time I upgraded my MX-700 setup, there was a huge blow up at...

I just got a qip-7100 working

It used the code 93 under the generic motorola cablebox drop down. It took me forever to figure out that the word "remote" in the window was only for the indicator light that glows green when the...

clear QAM with FIOS in MA?

I have been running an HDHomerun (since they came out) with Comcast as a provider, but I recently switched to Verizon FIOS. My HDHR cannot find any QAM channels that are not encrypted, but I was...

Dell is selling HD-PVRs for cheap

Not sure if I am allowed to post a link (so I won't), but you can search for it. Anyway, I saw from a post on slickdeals that Dell is selling them for $183. I used my work's EPP account and got 2...

Organization of large libraries:

With the price of NAS boxes dropping, I would like to be able to "archive" recordings to a network share and have it actually move the file to the new location.

Of course, I can do this now, but...

Has anyone gotten a DCP501 provisioned successfully in MA

I was wondering if anyone has bought their own box and gotten Comcast to provision it in MA. I would also like to avoid modding a rented box.

Yes, I can see how this was misinterpreted. If I wasn't so angry about the serial port, I would have probably written more clearly. I don't think Comcast wants me to watch those channels with the...

Thank you for you disclaimer GKusnick... I guess

But you totally missed the point of my question. I, like others, think that perhaps comcast disabled my serial port to push me toward using their DVR. Legally, they probably have no responsibility...

Thanks for the information

I will try to hook it up again tonight.

My first thought was that they were trying to do it to "encourage" the use of their DVR. I am glad it is not my hardware burning out.

Next question: If...

Can comcast turn off serial support remotely?

I have a motorola cable box through comcast, and last week it stopped being able to change channels over the serial port. I verified that the serial port and cable still work -- I used it them to...

You would lose all of the anticipation over the HD extender

If you switch now, then you won't be able to start every day by checking to see if the HD extender is finally out. That sort of edge of you seat anticipation is worth all of your TNT HD recordings...

Request seconded

I will try the aspect ratio plugin, but I wish this was something easily toggled during playback. Sometimes shows are just letterboxed during the credits before or after the main part of the show --...

I have the same problem with nVidia demux

I can not get the nvidia demux either. I lowered the priority of all other demuxers and now the graph won't render.

I then tried reinstalling my nVidia codec, but that didn't work. Then I tried...

I turned off server time sync

This appears to be on the sage servers. I have no problem now that I've turned syncing off. I sure hope my system time doesn't drift too much.
