If you do the normal search for updated firmware within the HD300 media extender you aren't going to see the beta firmwares. That is what I am running now and I haven't seen it lose network config...

Are you talking sagetv.properties, or the client properties for the extenders? My client extender properties files all run between 12 and 20kb.
I haven't let SageTV rebuild my sage.properties...

Yes, I've done that before. But as I said, so far after upgrading the HD300's to the last beta firmware I haven't seen the network config issue.

My understanding is that this is something new. Again I haven't read the document that WD put out about this issue so I can't say if it was intentional or a screw up in labeling some drives.
