That's almost the sole reason I use BMT as well. I don't use any fanart or posters, I just want to put imported video files into the TV section with the correct season/episode.

There is a plugin you can install called "Auto Aspect Ratio". You can specify an aspect ratio based on the channel or the program title. You should be able to install it from the plugin manager.

I don't believe it was. Most international countries had to use EPG plugins (like XMLTV) to get guide data.

Even Canadian listings weren't supported initially and required a plugin until SageTV...

I could be wrong, but I don't think the SageTV plugins use an API to access IMDB. I think it they are scraping the HTML, which can be a problem when IMDB makes any changes to their site.
